TAC History
For more than 25 years Technical Airborne Components Industries, also known as TAC, has manufactured rods for the aerospace industry. TAC is recognized as a fast source for high quality, custom engineered, control, structural and system rods. As one of the leading suppliers to the industry TAC today supplies products on almost every commercial aircraft, regional and business jet, helicopter, military and space program.

TAC offers a single source for the complete development of your needs, from design and engineering to manufacturing. In 2002 TAC moved into a new, purpose built, facility with state of the art equipment.
In 1999, TAC became part of the McKechnie group. Headquartered in the UK, McKechnie Aerospace is a world leader in the manufacture, development and supply of aircraft components to both OEM and aftermarket customers.
TAC supplies all kind of rods. Initially the rods were mainly aluminium rods. With the time TAC has developped know how which enables us to produce rods in all type of material from aluminium to composite including stainless steel and titanium. Titanium is also the material of the 1st ever fully swaged heavy duty rod shown on the picture which TAC is manufacturing for the A340 500/600.
Besides the rods which remain its core business TAC is also developping and manufacturing accessories and their parts linked to the rods application. The picture shows a bracket used as a vital part in a helicopter, this part is subject to heavy loads and a tough environment. The material is triple remelt Titanium.
